Description

A gloomy day with people covered with mud. Young boy lost and searching for someone or something. The boy glares motionless as if he is unsure of his next move. He stares with no emotions as if he is in fact dead to the world. Lost and confused this young child is all alone with out any idea of what is next. Where is his family? Will he see them again? Is he really all alone? He sits with a pondered look of uncertainty about everything that has just occurred.

In the distance another figure sits also covered in mud motionlessly. Who might the figure be? It is too far to make out any description. Unsure of the well being; dead or alive, wounded or in good condition. It is hard to see if it is even a man or woman.

What ever occurred seemed like something tragic to this place. Only time can tell what will happen for this young boy and who ever may be around him.

Snowpocalypse

February 14th, 2010

I found this Video from the AP on youtube that made me laugh. It shows what the wonderful people of DC did once the snow finally stopped. They interview different people who were inDC on Dupoint Circle having fun in the snow.

This was definitely a different type of story to air. it was unique an showed a lighter side of the blizzard since it wasn’t much light side for us that week. they did a great job of just showing the fun people got to have through all the snow.

Homework 2/4/10 4.2

I will use the story “Jury Recommends Death for 69-Year-Old Grandmother” to answer the following questions.

1. The news value of this story are a 69-year-old woman could possibly be sentenced to death row which would make her the oldest woman on Missouri’s death row.

2. The who of this story would be Faye Copeland. The what would be Copeland recommended to death row by jury. The when is last year according to the story. The where would be Chillicothe, Missouri.  The why would be she is recommended for death because she was on trial for the murders or four transient farm workers whose bodies were found.  The how of the story would be on the fifth conviction the jury recommended the sentence of death after there three hour long deliberation.

3. The sources this story use are records. The story was probably written according to the records of the courthouse.

4. Since this story used records from the court room, the reporter had access to what occurred during the trial.

5. This story is a factual based story from the records. There is nothing that shows any inaccuracy to the story.

January 28th, 2010

“Paranormal Activity” is about a couple who finds out their new home is haunted and they document they strange activities that occur during the night. I liked the simplicity of the movie, just one set few actors and it had great suspense. Four stars.
