Something this week that has caught my attention is the samething that has caught the attention of majority of this country. MARCH MADNESS!!!!!!!
I like the rest of the many college basketball followers filled out a bracket as I do every year. But to my suprise like everyone else, I witnessed the biggest upset weekend in the history of the tournament. I mean who would expect Cornell to make it to the sweet 16, or who would think Kansas (who spent the longest at #1 all season) would lose the second round to Northern Iowa who I have honestly never heard of until this tournament?
To my disagreement, my bracket is completely in shambles. I am unsure of who has any chance of winning their pools but after this unlucky weekend for top teams, my luck seemed to run out with them.
All in all, though I have not been happy with this years outcome, this first weekend of games has been the most fun to watch in recent years. Some teams are happy to play on and others faced the tough defeat, but for a fan of college basketball or sports period, you enjoyed this weekend of history making upsets.
